Starlink installation for construction sites, in all 50 states, from $750 per site, or $650 per site when you book three or more, and additional discounts for 6+ locations. Nationwide Installation Techs sends local, insured technicians to the job, sets the dish on a non-penetrating mount so nothing is drilled through a roof, and works around your schedule so the site never stops. As official partners and authorized resellers of KVH equipment, we can supply Starlink Performance Gen 3 kits when other resellers are out of stock. We hold a 4.9-star Google rating from over 100 reviews; talk to a real person now on our live chat, or use the free quote form below. Call (877) 309-1050.
The office trailer usually arrives weeks before any utility line does. Drawings still need downloading, the superintendent still has an owner meeting on video, inspectors want photos uploaded the same day, and the timekeeping app wants a signal at the gate. A phone hotspot covers some of it until the steel goes up or the site sits in a dead zone. A wired line can take longer to order than the foundation takes to pour. Starlink is the jobsite internet that arrives with the trailer, runs on the power already there, and leaves with it when the job is done.
That is the whole appeal for a contractor: internet that follows the work instead of an address. A Roam plan has no service address, so the same kit can serve a school addition this spring and a distribution center across the state by fall. Between projects the plan pauses, so an idle kit is not costing a full month. The Performance Gen 3 dish is built for the weather a job site sees, and our technicians mount it without drilling, without a power shutdown and without pulling anyone off their task. Order the kit, or let us source it, and set up the no-cost virtual survey during shipping, so the mount and the cable route are planned before the trailer is even set.
Roam Plans for a Job Site, and What Each One Costs
Roam is the plan family built for a dish that moves, and in the United States it comes in three tiers as of October 2026:
- Roam 100GB, $55 a month. Enough for a small trailer that handles email, plan sets, daily logs and the odd video call.
- Roam 300GB, $80 a month. A better fit once two or three people work from the trailer every day and upload progress photos.
- Roam Unlimited, $175 a month. The tier for a busy field office, regular video meetings, and cameras sending footage off site around the clock.
Run past the data on the 100GB or 300GB tier and the connection stays on at a lower speed until the next cycle, so the site never goes dark mid-month. Roam works anywhere in the United States, it is rated for use in motion at up to 100 mph, and prices and terms are always current on Starlink’s Roam page.
Starlink sells Roam to individuals and points businesses toward its Priority plans. If your company wants a public IP address, a service-level agreement and around-the-clock support, Local Priority runs $55 a month for 50GB, $155 for 500GB, $280 for 1TB and $530 for 2TB. Many contractors start on Roam for the flexibility and move up when a long project calls for it. The hardware, the mount and our installation are the same either way.
Pause Service Between Jobs With Standby Mode
Work on a site rarely runs straight into the next one. There is a closeout, a punch list, a gap while the next contract is signed. Starlink built Standby Mode for exactly that gap. In your Starlink account, go to Subscriptions, choose Manage, then Pause, and the kit drops to a low-speed connection of up to 500 Kbps for a small monthly fee instead of the full plan price. That is still enough to keep messaging, alerts and a remote check on the equipment working while the kit is stored.
Starlink bills in monthly cycles, so the full plan stays on until the end of the current one. When the next site opens, resume from the same screen and full speed comes back, with that month’s charge worked out pro-rata. Business plans can be paused as well. A kit that only earns its keep while a job is running only has to be paid for at full rate while it is.
Moving the Dish to the Next Site
A Residential plan is tied to the address it was ordered for. Roam is not tied to any address, which is why it suits contractors. When one job wraps, there is nothing to re-register and no address to change in the account: pack the kit, set it up at the next site, and it finds the satellites on its own within minutes.
We build the mount so the move is easy, too:
- Ballast that lifts off. A non-penetrating base is held down by weight rather than fasteners, so it leaves with the trailer and leaves no holes behind.
- Labeled cable and fittings. The run, the power supply and the router are marked so the site team can reconnect them in the right order.
- The same price at every site. If you would rather a technician handle the move, the next site is booked at the same per-site rate, with a fresh survey of that site’s sky and roof.
Performance Gen 3 Kits, Even When Resellers Are Sold Out
The Starlink Performance Gen 3 kit is the dish we recommend for most job sites, and it is also the one that sells out first. We are official partners and authorized resellers of KVH equipment, and KVH is a Starlink Authorized Tier 1 reseller, so we can source Performance kits through KVH when retail stock and other resellers have none. Kits typically ship in three to seven days, with two-day shipping where available, and KVH activation is live around the clock, so you choose the day the service starts.
Why the Performance kit belongs on a job site:
- Weather and wash-down rated. It carries IP68 and IP69K ratings against dust and high-pressure water, and is rated to operate from -40°F to 140°F in winds above 170 mph.
- Flexible power. Its power supply accepts 100 to 240 volts AC or 12 to 56 volts DC, which suits a generator, a solar trailer or a battery bank. Plan for an average draw of 75 to 100 watts.
- A wide view of the sky. A 140-degree field of view helps on a site hemmed in by cranes, formwork or neighboring buildings.
- Your choice of router. There is no router built into the dish, so we pair it with the router or mesh system that suits the trailer and the yard.
KVH also offers optional 24/7 account management and support at $19 per location a month, with advance replacement hardware and one bill across every site.
No Holes Through the Roof: Non-Penetrating Mounts
Every construction install we do uses a non-penetrating mount, so not a single hole goes through a roof. A trailer roof is thin and nobody wants a leak above the plan table. A finished building roof is under someone’s warranty, and a membrane punctured by a contractor’s contractor is a dispute nobody wants either. So the dish goes on a ballasted base: a steel frame held down by concrete blocks, set on a protective pad, with no fasteners anywhere in the roof covering.
- On a flat roof, the ballasted base sits on its pad with the block weight sized for the site’s wind exposure, and the cable crosses the roof in conduit carried on support blocks, never lying loose on the membrane.
- On an office trailer, we check what the roof is rated to carry before any weight goes on it. Where it cannot take the load, the same ballasted frame sits at ground level beside the trailer, inside the site fence, where the dish still has a clear view of the northern sky.
- Into the trailer, the cable enters low on the wall through a sealed grommet with a drip loop below it, or through an existing entry if the trailer already has one.
Installed Around Your Schedule, With No Downtime
Nobody on the site stops working because we showed up. Before the visit we confirm the timing with the superintendent, and on the day our technician checks in, follows the site’s safety rules and PPE requirements, and stays clear of lifts, deliveries and anything on the critical path. Most installs take two to four hours.
- No power shutdown. The dish runs from an existing outlet or the site generator, so nothing else on the circuit has to go off.
- No gap in service. If the trailer already has a hotspot or a temporary line, it stays live until the new connection is tested, then the switch takes a few minutes.
- Early starts welcome. We can arrive before the first shift so the trailer is online by the morning meeting.
- Paperwork ready. If your general contractor requires proof of insurance before anyone sets foot on site, we send it ahead of the visit.
For permanent buildings, offices and multi-site rollouts, our main commercial Starlink installation page covers the full scope of business work.
One Dish for the Trailer, the Gate and the Yard
A connected site runs more than a laptop. Drawings and BIM models download in the trailer, timekeeping happens at the gate, cameras watch the laydown yard overnight, and the inspector wants Wi-Fi on the second floor. One dish usually serves all of it. A point-to-point wireless bridge carries the connection from the trailer to a gate shack, a second trailer or a tool container without trenching a cable across an active site, and mesh nodes spread Wi-Fi where people actually work. We also plan for the site as it grows: the survey picks a spot whose northern sky stays clear once the steel, the crane and the scaffolding go up, so the dish does not have to move halfway through the project. If the site needs cameras too, our security camera installation team can put them on the same network.
Site Trucks, Fleets, RVs and Workboats
The connection does not have to stop at the fence. Superintendents and project managers who work from the cab can have a dish fitted to a pickup through our Starlink for cars and trucks service, from $650. Contractors running three or more service trucks, equipment haulers or mobile command units get mobile fleet Starlink installation at $650 per vehicle, with an extra discount at twelve or more. Traveling workers who live on site in a fifth wheel or motorhome during a long project can book RV Starlink installation for the camper, and marine construction and dredging companies get the same standard on their workboats through our boat and yacht installs.
Starlink Installation for Construction Sites: What It Costs
Each job site costs $750 to install, dropping to $650 apiece once three or more are on the order. The price includes the non-penetrating mount and ballast, the cable run in conduit with a sealed entry, setup of the router or mesh, aiming, and a speed test run with the site team watching. Moving the kit to a new site later is booked at the same per-site rate. Vehicles start at $650.
Most sites are planned entirely from the free virtual survey. When a walk-through makes sense first, a technician visit runs $199. Starlink or KVH bills the kit and the monthly service directly; our invoice only covers the installation. Our Starlink installation cost guide breaks down every kind of job, and pricing is confirmed in writing before anything is scheduled.
Work We Leave to the Other Trades
- Account changes stay with you. You own the kit and the Starlink account; we do not change plans or billing. KVH’s support plan covers that side if you want it handled.
- New circuits go to an electrician. We plug into the power already on site and give your electrician the 75 to 100 watt figure if a new outlet or a solar trailer needs sizing.
- Roof repairs go to the roofer. Our mounts never penetrate a roof, and any existing damage we spot is reported, not patched.
- No structural work. We do not build towers or alter the trailer frame or the building.
Construction Site Starlink: Questions Contractors Ask
For one or two people handling email, plan sets and daily logs, Roam 100GB at $55 a month is usually enough. Busier field offices with video meetings and cameras uploading footage should start on Roam Unlimited at $175 a month, and Roam 300GB at $80 a month sits between the two. If the company needs a public IP and a service-level agreement, Local Priority starts at $55 a month for 50GB.
Yes. In your Starlink account go to Subscriptions, then Manage, then Pause. Standby Mode keeps a low-speed connection of up to 500 Kbps for a small monthly fee. Starlink bills monthly, so the pause takes hold at the end of the current cycle, and you can resume whenever the next job starts.
Yes. A Roam plan has no service address, so there is nothing to update when the kit moves. Our ballasted mounts lift off without leaving holes, and we label the cable and power supply so your team can set it up again, or we can do the move at the same per-site rate.
No. Every construction install uses a non-penetrating ballasted mount, and the cable crosses the roof in conduit on support blocks. If a trailer roof cannot carry the ballast, the frame goes on the ground beside it inside the site fence.
No. We schedule with the superintendent, follow the site’s safety rules, power the dish from an existing outlet or generator without shutting anything off, and keep any current connection live until the new one is tested. Most installs take two to four hours.
Usually, yes. We are official partners and authorized resellers of KVH equipment, and KVH is a Starlink Authorized Tier 1 reseller, so we can source Performance Gen 3 kits through KVH when other resellers are out of stock. Kits typically ship in three to seven days.
Each site is $750, falling to $650 apiece from the third site on, including the non-penetrating mount, cabling, router setup, aiming and a speed test. Vehicles start at $650. Planning by video costs nothing; a technician walk-through costs $199. Hardware and the monthly plan are billed separately.
For most US job sites, Starlink is the quickest construction site internet to get running. It needs no wired line, a Performance Gen 3 dish handles dust, heat and storms, and a Roam plan moves with the trailer to the next job and pauses in between. Our technicians install it on a non-penetrating mount in two to four hours, with no downtime for the site.
Yes. The Performance Gen 3 power supply takes 100 to 240 volts AC or 12 to 56 volts DC, and the dish averages 75 to 100 watts. Pass those numbers on to whoever sizes your generator, battery bank or solar trailer.
Usually. A point-to-point wireless bridge carries the connection from the trailer to a gate shack or second trailer without trenching, and mesh nodes spread Wi-Fi across the areas people use. We plan the layout during the survey.

Although the tech had some problems the first time he came out, he and his team stuck with me until a successful solution was found. Professionally done, honest, the second trip did the job. The Starlink AI agent was singularly unhelpful; but Nationwide Installation Techs LLC filled the gap with real humans who understood the problem and got the correct equipment and installed it properly. Now I have great TV and WiFi service in a remote part of the Colorado mountains.Posted on Google![]()

From first contact with Grant at their Tx call center to a rapid installation date was a great experience! Grant never pressed, in fact, we landed up talking about other things we had in common. The local installer was prompt and friendly and handled a difficult job with a great can do attitude! In an era of hurry up to make a decision then wait in line, this whole process was exceptional! Coming from me who spent 30 years in sales and marketing can be hard to impress…this whole process from start to finish was very impressive!Posted on Google![]()

Game-Changer for Rural Internet! Living in a rural area, reliable high-speed internet has always been a challenge. We don’t have fiber, and while we have Spectrum cable, it’s pricey and inconsistent. For four years, I relied on a Verizon home setup with a mesh system, which was just okay—until that equipment failed and I had to upgrade to their newer version. It was an absolute disaster. Nothing worked consistently: my Ring doorbells wouldn't connect, and our TVs constantly buffered. Desperate for a real solution, a friend recommended Starlink, and I decided to go all-in on their top-tier plan. With a large, three-story, 5,000-square-foot home and an unobstructed view of the sky, I was blown away from day one. Remarkably, Starlink’s router alone provided coverage across the entire house before I even added a mesh system. Though I went ahead and installed a new mesh setup for maximum strength in every single corner, the baseline performance on day one was already incredible. Even better? It was installed on a wall mount attached to our gable, which was quick and easy. We hit one minor snag initially when the contracted installers wouldn't climb the roof, but Starlink's support team stepped in immediately. I honestly have to say: that was the best customer service I have ever experienced in my 59 years of living. They resolved the issue seamlessly and went above and beyond. I was also deeply concerned about how satellite internet would handle bad weather. Literally the night it was installed, it was storming and raining heavily—yet every device stayed connected without a single glitch. We’ve had a few severe storms since, and I haven't experienced a single drop in service. If you have an unobstructed view of the sky and are tired of unreliable options, I cannot recommend Starlink enough. It is an absolute game-changer!Posted on Google![]()
